Membership Committee Recommendations

Your executive committee, serving as the membership committee, plus the representatives of the two countries, will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have.

1. Receive Mexico as a National Conference (a sub-committee of Brian Magnus, Francisco Rudales and Gary Dilley met with the Mexican leadership this February and Brother Francisco and other Spanish speakers have examined all of their documents and find them to be in order)

2. Receive Philippines as a National Conference (a sub-committee of Peter Lee and Mark Choi met with the Filipino leadership last year and we have their documents and find them to be in order)

National Conference Missions Efforts Report

Reports from each country on their outreach efforts both within their country and especially outside of their borders. Ideas for partnerships can be presented and discussed at this time.

Constitution and By-Laws Revision Proposals

1. Add new By-Law section 33.1.c "The chairman of the International Executive Committee shall be the chairman of the General Conference." The current By-Law section 33.1.c will become 33.1.d.

2. Delete By-Law section 33.2 "Director of Global Ministries."

3. Amend By-Law section 34.1.a to delete; "The General Conference shall name the convener."

Approval of Changes to Governing Documents during the quadrennium

National Conference leaders are to bring a list of changes made from 2001 to 2005.

  • Hong Kong: list of changes to be received
  • Jamaica: list of changes to be received
  • Nicaragua: list of changes to be received
