General Conference

The General Conference, the highest governing body of the international United Brethren church, will meet June 23-24, 2005, in Huntington, Ind. The sessions will be held in the upstairs of the Habecker Dining Commons at Huntington University.

Bishop Brian Magnus of the UB church in Canada, chairperson of the International Executive Committee, will chair the meetings.

One of the major decisions will be to accept two new national conferences into the fellowship: Mexico and the Phillipines. That will increase the number of national conferences to nine. They are:

  • Canada
  • Honduras
  • Hong Kong
  • Jamaica
  • Mexico
  • Nicaragua
  • Philippines
  • Sierra Leone
  • United States
