Steve Dennie

Communications Director

Steve Dennie came to Headquarters in 1978 while still a senior at Huntington University, serving as assistant editor back in the days when we published Sunday school curriculum. Upon graduating in 1979 with a Communications degree, he went fulltime in that role.

In 1981, Steve was named editor of the United Brethren magazine. When the magazine ended in 1993 and the publications transitioned to a newsletter approach, his position was centralized under the title Communications Director. Basically, he handles anything having to do with publications--brochures, the denominational newsletters, booklets, books...and this web site.

Steve holds a Masters in Public Relations from Ball State University (1995), and has written six books. He and Pam were married in 1989 at Emmanuel UB in Fort Wayne, Ind. In 1998, they became part of a core group which started Anchor Community Church in Fort Wayne, Ind., an urban church just west of the downtown. Steve is one of the elders and plays the keyboard in the worship team. Pam is a partner in Christen-Souers LLC, a CPA firm in Fort Wayne.

Steve and Pam have two cats, Molly and Jordi. That's Jordi on the left.
