2004 US National Board Delegates
Most delegates are chosen by the various annual conferences. The number of delegates is based on the size of the conference, and additional delegates are added in pairs--one minister, one layperson.
The 2004 National Board had a total of 42 delegates. They included:
- 3 elected officials
- 7 ELT members
- 16 ministerial delegates from annual conferences
- 16 lay delegates from annual conferences
These elected officials were voting members by virtue of their office:
- Paul Hirschy, Bishop (and chairman of the conference)
- Gary Dilley, Director of Global Ministries
- G. Blair Dowden, Director of Education
In addition, any members of the Executive Leadership Team who are not already serving as conference delegates are also voting members of the National Board. For 2004, it included these ELT members:
