2005 US National Board Delegates
The US National Board met February 14-15 in Huntington, Ind. This was a special session called by Bishop Paul Hirschy.
Most delegates are chosen by the various annual conferences. The number
of delegates is based on the size of the conference, and additional delegates
are added in pairs--one minister, one layperson.
These persons
were voting members by virtue of their office:
- Paul Hirschy, Bishop (and chairman of the conference)
- Gary Dilley, Director of Global Ministries
- G. Blair Dowden, Director of Education
In addition, any members of the Executive Leadership
Team who are not already serving as conference delegates are also
voting members of the National Board. In 2002, that added seven members:
- Patrick Jones (minister, Mid-Atlantic)
- Dennis Miller (minister, Central)
- Brent Birdsall (minister, Central)
- Russ Baker (layperson, Central)
