Team Nominations
Following is the ballot prepared to elect members of the Executive Leadership Team for the years 2007-2009. Delegates picked one layperson and one minister from each of the four regions. An asterisk (*) indicates the persons elected. In addition to those eight persons, this Bishop Ramsey and the ELT will appoint four more persons, one from each region (2 laypersons, 2 ministers), for a total of 12 persons.
Clergy
East District
Milt Herrold, Jr. Milt has been senior pastor of Orrstown UB Church (Orrstown, Pa.) since June 2004. He is cluster leader for five churches in south-central Pennsylvania. He graduated magna cum laude from Evangelical School of Theology (Myerstown, Pa.) with a Master of Arts in Religion. He and his wife, Kimberly, have two teenage sons.
*Todd Fetters. Todd has been senior pastor of Devonshire Church (Harrisburg, Pa.) since 1995 and a minister in the denomination since 1988. He has served on various committees and boards which gave direction to church health and ministerial licensing. He is a cluster leader, serves on the Executive Leadership Team, and was the 2006 National Conference Secretary.
Daryl Elliott. Daryl joined Mid-Atlantic Conference in 1984 and graduated from Evangelical School of Theology and Drew University (Ph.D.). He has pastored four UB churches in Pennsylvania and Florida before his present assignment at Fountain Church in Keyser, W. Va. Other past roles include conference superintendent, Huntington University trustee, and President of the UB Historical Society.
Central District
George Kreger. George has been senior pastor of New Hope Community Church in Bryan, Ohio, since 1987. During that time New Hope Church grew from 65 to over 800 in attendance, within a community with a population of 8,000. George has also served as the Superintendent of the Michindoh Conference for the past eight years.
*Marty Pennington. Marty is the lead pastor of Mainstreet Church in Walbridge, Ohio. An ordained elder since 2001, he served the church as its first worship pastor for ten years before assuming the Lead Pastor role in August 2005. He and Amy have four children ages 8-13.
Robert Loar. Bob has been senior pastor of New Horizons Community Church in Rockford, Ohio, since 1999. He also serves as a cluster leader and on the Administrative Leadership Team. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Business Administration/Accounting, and worked as an accountant for 15 years. He was ordained in 1997, year after graduating from the Huntington College Graduate School of Christian Ministries. He and Linda, married for 30 years, have two sons.
Brad Wotring. Brad has been in fulltime ministry for the past 17 years, serving primarily in family ministries. For the last five years he has been senior pastor at Northpoint Church, Toledo, Ohio. During that time, NorthPoint has grown from 50 attenders to over 550. Brad and his wife of 21 years, Debbie, have four children. Brad holds a Master's Degree in counseling and will complete his Doctorate of Ministry in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2008.
North District
Mark Ralph. Mark is the senior pastor of Sunfield UB church (Sunfield, Mich.). He serves as a cluster leader, and has been very active in church planting in Michigan. He is married to Ruth, his wife for 34 years, and they have two children. Mark was ordained in 1976 and has served the Lord for 32 years.
Darrel Bosworth. Darrel is the lead pastor at Kilpatrick Church (Woodland, Mich.). Kilpatrick is a multiple staff church with a strong emphasis on outreach. He and his wife Barbara have been married 37 years and have four grown children and eight grandchildren.
*Phil Whipple. Phil has been a pastor for 23 years, serving four churches in Michigan. He currently pastors Colwood Church (Caro, Mich.). He attended a couple of Bible colleges before finishing at Liberty University. He has taken graduate course at Huntington University. He is a cluster leader, and serves on the current ELT and the Healthy Church Leadership Team. He and Sandy have been married for 27 years.
Les Smith. Les has served at three churches in Michigan over the last 25 years. He is now senior pastor of Hillsdale UB (Hillsdale, Mich.). He has served on the denominational Administrative Team and for the past two years as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Les is a graduate of Huntington School of Christian Ministries and enjoys his drama ministry, "Return of the Apostles."
Don Gentry. Don has been in ministry for 15 years—nine years fulltime and six years part-time. For the past two years he has been senior pastor of New Hope Church in Camden, Mich. He and his wife, Stacy, have been married for ten years and have three children. He says, "My greatest passion in life is seeing lives radically changed through the power and love of Jesus Christ."
West District
Michael Longfellow. Michael has been pastor of the Highland Avenue church (Chanute, Kansas) since 2001, and has seen attendance rise from 30 to 115. He graduated from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, and us currently working on his Masters at Friends. He and his wife, Lori, have been married for ten years and have six children, ages 8,7,7,6,5, and 4.
*Stan McCammon. He graduated from Huntington University in 1987 and from the Graduate School in 1995, and worked for the University 1983-1991. He served as Business Manager in Sierra Leone 1991-1992, then pastured UB churches in Wilshire, Ohio, and Chambersburg, Pa. Since 2002, Stan has been senior pastor of Good Shepherd UB church (Huntington, Ind.).
Roger Vezeau. Roger graduated from Huntington University in 1984 and then worked eight years with Youth for Christ in North Carolina and Florida. He also served as the southeast region's short-term mission trip director, overseeing all missions' trip efforts. After serving as associate pastor of a church in Deerfield Beach, Fla., he came to College Park UB church (Huntington, Ind.) as associate pastor. He has served on the Youth Leadership Team and the Church Services Commission, and done short-term missions work.
Lay
East District
*Annette Sites. Annette is active at Jerusalem Chapel (Churchville, Va.), where her husband, Denny, is the pastor. She is employed as the Administrative Assistant, volunteers as the Women's Ministry Director, and teaches Sunday school and discipleship classes. She has served on the denominational Women's Ministry Team since 2001, and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team since 2005. Annette graduated from Huntington University. She and Denny have three grown daughters.
Dean Hoffman. Dean has been a member of Idaville UB (Idaville, Pa.) since 1957, and has served in many roles over the years. He currently serves as Finance commission chairman, church treasurer, trustee of Evangelical School of Theology (Myerstown, Pa.), treasurer of Rhodes Grove Camp and Conference Center, and treasurer of the Mid-Atlantic Foundation. He retired in 1998 as vice president of PNC Bank, with 34 years of banking experience.
Central District
Debbie Voight. Debbie is the wife of Gregg Voight, senior pastor of Lancaster UB (Lancaster, Ohio). She is the children's ministries director, VBS coordinator, co-leader of a small group, and Sunday school teacher. She is also a member of the current Executive Leadership Team. Debbie holds degree in finance from Bowling Green State University. She and Gregg have three children.
*Timothy Krugh. Tim is an attorney, husband, father, and grandfather, and has been an active UB member most of his life. He says, "I have found that my growth as a Christian is greatest when centered on serving and reaching out to others, especially seekers. I enjoy working on policy and focusing on the big picture and leadership." Tim is from Mainstreet Church (Walbridge, Ohio).
North District
Dave Beech. Dave has been a member of Banner of Christ Church (Byron Center, Mich.) since 2000, where he is finishing an extended term as board chairman. Dave was raised in a Christian family and accepted Christ at age 12. His college experience focused on Christian education, Bible, and Business. Dave has been married to his high school sweetheart for nearly 35 years and they have two children—Holly, a missionary with TransWorld Radio in South Africa, and Danny, a youth pastor in South Carolina.
Mike Holcomb. Mike has been a member of Banner of Christ Church (Byron Center, Mich.) since moving to Grand Rapids in 1999. He serves on the worship team and the board, and chairs the Healthy Church strategy Team. Previously, while living in Gaylord, Mike chaired the deacon board for several years at an Evangelical Free Church, and then helped plant a new church in Gaylord; it started with four families in a living room, and now averages 180 people in its own building. Mike and Kim, married for 22 years, have two children.
*Dan Paternoster. Dan, a veterinarian, has been part of the Fowlerville UB church since moving to Fowlerville, Mich., in 1991. He has served on the Executive Leadership Team since 2001, a role which he says has been "a privilege, responsibility, and challenge which I thoroughly enjoy." Dan writes, "My family name, 'Our Father' in Latin, speaks of the relationship I enjoy with God through Christ.
West District
*Cathy Reich. Cathy is Director of Children's Ministry at Good Shepherd Church (Huntington Ind.). She has been involved with children's ministry at Good Shepherd since 1976, when she graduated from Huntington University with a degree in Christian Education and Music. She and her husband, Jon, have three children. Cathy is employed by the school corporation where she teaches elementary computer keyboarding, and by the local ministerial association, for which she teaches weekday religious training for elementary students.
Carol Morehead. Carol Morehead has been a member of College Park Church (Huntington, Ind.) for 35 years, where she is a leader in the Stephen Ministry and sings in the choir. She is retired from Huntington Memorial Hospital after 33 years as an RN and vice president. Carol was appointed to the denominational salary and benefits committee in 1997, and currently chairs the Administrative Leadership Team. She and Allen, married for 45 years, have four children.
