2007 US National Conference

The 2007 US National Conference will convene May 31 – June 3, 2007, at the Saw Mill Creek Resort in northern Ohio. Saw Mill Creek is a 235-acre site located in Huron, Ohio, right along Lake Erie. It includes an 18-hole golf course, a lakefront marina, restaurants, shops, pools, and more.

It's a business meeting. It's a vacation. It's a spiritual enrichment weekend.

All United Brethren people are invited to attend. And bring the whole family.

The US National Conference is the highest governing body for UB churches in the United States. It meets every two years. This year, for the first time, each UB church can send at least two delegates: the senior pastor (in most cases), plus one layperson. Churches are permitted additional lay delegates based on average attendance in 2005.

So somebody from your church needs to come to represent your congregation. But whether or not you are a delegate, we invite you to attend this historic gathering.

Xtreme Makeover

This is a time of transition for the United Brethren church. We are changing how we function, how we think, where we put priority. We are undergoing an Xtreme Makeover, so that we can thrive in today's--and tomorrow's--world.

Many of our local churches likewise need an Xtreme Makeover. Culture and technology change rapidly. Each generation thinks differently, and therefore responds differently to the unchanging Gospel message. Churches unable to adapt tend to struggle to survive...and many don't survive. Does your church need an Xtreme Makeover?

We want your church to prosper in the years ahead and to make a difference for Christ in a rapidly-changing world. This will be the focus of the conference.
